Access - At school functions, kids will be kids. A fact that doesn't need to be explained any further. But because of that, an area of concern is the DJ booth/area itself. The students will inevitably be coming and going throughout the dance requesting that I play their favorite song of the moment Thus, my attention is basically allocated to providing the music they want to hear. While I will, and do, keep my eyes and ears open the whole time, final oversight of the student activities on the dance floor and near the DJ booth itself is the responsibility of the chaperones.

There should be a least one chaperone on hand near the DJ area to watch over the kids who approach the DJ. As with all DJ's, not only is there considerable cost involved with the equipment and the music, but it can be an unsafe area with wires and cables running across the floor.

This is a photo 'montage' (always wanted to use that word) of your favorite pictures pieced together so that they seemlessly transition from one to the next with professional effects (like documentaries on the History Channel) and backed up with a soundtrack of your favorite songs. This is all copied to a DVD (which you get a copy of) and played at your event via a projector onto a screen or available wall for all to enjoy.

It can be of you growing up, family history, co-workers, past social events, just about anything (G-rated of course). A variation of this for weddings is to show the bride and groom through the years up to the day they met and the run-up to the big day itself.

But keep in mind, some facilities might not have the circuitry in place to support a lot of electrical devices. Most of the modern hotel banquet rooms do.
